There is a Waitress named Alyson that we know,
Working at the restaurant called Uno;
When we see her doing extra tasks,
Alyson comes to see us and asks;
Where would you like to sit,
And takes us to the table that fits;
Alyson brings us all the bubbly drinks,
That she knows will never flatten or sink;
She gives us dinner menus for us to pick,
But Alyson already knows how we tick;
So she tells us what we could choose,
Because we are always afraid to lose;
The daily menu specials hot in reserve,
Are some of best meals that Uno’s can serve.

Tell Alyson, "The Sun People are Here"
The Sun people returned to Uno’s in Bellingham, MA as they do every week. They requested to have their best waitress, Alyson, be their server. They said, "Tell Alyson the Sun people are here."
Alyson Knows a Thing or Two
It was learnt from the management that Alyson has been selected to learn-the-ropes in the restaurant business. This was not a surprise to the Sun people since they know that she has the right attitude, disposition, and likeable personality. Alyson is being trained to learn all aspects of the restaurant business, which the Sun people believe will be a perfect fit for Alyson as she knows-a-thing-or-two. Alyson has to perform, at various times, the bar tender, the chef, the scheduling manager, the general manager, the financial bookkeeper, the payroll manager, and the advertisement manager. When Alyson greeted the Sun people at their usual table, it was very evident that she had good news to tell the Sun people. With the speckle in her eyes and her smile, the Sun people knew immediately that something was very right with Alyson. When she told them of her new duties, the Sun people knew all these tasks are just right for Alyson. In fact, she will be able to demonstrate her skills with ease. It’s an Ace-in-a-hole and a piece-of-cake for Alyson.
Game Hosting and Waitress, Wow
On this visit, the Sun people learnt that she was hosting a ‘Name that Tune’ game and serving as a waitress. She handled the waitress function just as efficiently as she had week after week even though she was also hosting the game. She made sure that the staff delivered the right food to the Sun people and her other customers when the game required her attention. She even found extra time to talk to the Sun people about her new up coming tasks. It was learnt that she will be working next week to learn the kitchen tasks while also working as a waitress. Alyson will be learning how to make French fries, cook pasta, make attractive salads, learn how to properly cook steak from the range of rare to well done, and making pizza. Alyson has the endurance of an Olympic athlete.
Alyson, the perfect Hostess, a real Cool Breeze
Just like the function of a hostess, she also finds time to discuss the weekly social events of the Sun People making them relax and feel welcome at Uno’s. She always says, ‘What’s popping’ as she is very interested in the different stories the Sun people talk about every week. She also helps in the solution of the secret word puzzle that the Sun people try to solve during their visit. Sometimes, while the Sun people are laboring on several words, she provides some words, which have helped solve the puzzles. Where can you find a better hostess?
It’s evident to the Sun people that the restaurant business is Alyson’s destiny. She is a real cool-breeze.
